My sister name is M.M.G.G nimasha Lakmini Kumari.She is in grade 05.She was bron in 10th of May 2001.She have 01 broher an d01 sister .There are M.M.G.G .Avishaka Chamuditha Bandara and Akarsha madubhashini.Her mother name is G.HDeepani Glagedara.She is housewife .Her father name is M.M.G.G Susantha Jagath Kumara.He is soldger.Her school is K/ Girihagama Priamy School.

SINHALA NEW YEAR
The Sinhalese new year is most enjoyable festival for all Sinhalese Buddhists. They celebrate this festival on the 14th on April in every year ,The farmers harvest their files and store grain for the coming celebrations .We white wash our houses and polish the floors.We begin to prepare oil-cakes and sweetmeats.On this day people spent the time visiting the temples.They put on new clothes.The children light fire -crackers.The new year day is spent joyfully by all and we hope the next new year will still be a happy year.
THE EVENING
The evening is the best time of the day. In the evening we get together at home .Our parents return a work .They go out in the moring to learn our daily living and it is only in the eveing that we can see the faces of our dear ones. It is the evening we sit in the garden either takeing or enjoying scence . We see people going home to their loved ones. They carry bags with foodstuffs. I wait for my father when he is late.He always brings some sweets for me. Lettle by little it gets darkn and we move in. This is the end of the busy day .Wecan happy if we had spent the day well .It is a good thing to took and back the mistakes.
THE POLICEMAN
The policeman is a well -known person.We can see him in all busy places such as towns, streets and junctions We can easily recoghise him. ,by his khaki umifrom.The poilceman life is not a comfortable one .He bears a lot of responsilbilties.His duty is to maintain law and oder.He has to act patiently in times of disturbance. Sometimes his life is at risk.He is a humble servent of the society .We must respect the police constable and the law of the country.
FLOODS
Very often we hear of floods rivers and canals become full when it rains and the water overflows river banks can’t contain the water and the water overflows as floods . I have seen aflood. Floods some times canse damage to houses property fields and gradens .some times afloods can kill people and animals . We hear of floods which are dastructive .We have minor floods in our counter.Water flows through our gardens and houses .Sometimes it is difficult to aflood .We cant’t go to work .When there roads are under water .Aflood is an interesting incident for the small childern.
THE CLOCK
the clock has 2 hands .One is long and other is short. 12 numbers are set on the face of the clock.We can read the time by these numbers .the hands of clock move around and the round .they move with the time.we find the tim ewith the help of th enumbers and handas of the clock .The wall clock strikes time ,even it We don’t see it we can know he time .It strikes one at O’ clock and two at two O’ clock soon.The clock i svery helpful in our daily life.We have to do our work in time .so th eclock helps us to spent th eday in a useful way……….
FLELDS
The farmer grows paddy in the fields .Our main food is rice .we get our rice farmers the paddy plant. The farmer is very imporant man beacuse he grows paddy for all .First he loosens the soil of the field with the help of buffaloes .Then he prepares in the fields by makeing it muddy paddy grows well in a muddy filed .the farmer adds manure to the field .the paddy is ripe after three to four months .The farmer is very happy then he invites his friends to help him they gets togerther and harvest the field .after harvesting the farmer bring paddy home.
PAPER BOATS
Have you even made paper boats? I’m sure you have played with a paper boats for me when I was small child .I loved to bathe and play in the water then. I had a habit of making boats and setting then in a flowing drain for them to sail dwonward . It made me very happy to see the floating .I though they would go for away my mother said that they may go to the sea . I too wanted to travel to their countries in large boat .Now I know that on aeroplane is much more quicker and safer then a boat.
THE POSTMAN
The postman is has a very responsible job to do .He brings letters and small parecels to our door.A letter from a relatiue or a friend is very imporant to us.An official letter is even more imporant beacause very often contains a special message .If the postman is not careful enough he may lose a letter ,but our postman is very duty conscious and they do their duty quite well, they come to our door and deliver the mail the services of the post man is very essential.
THE PARROT
The parrot is very nice bird.It i s green bind. colour .It has red beak. It berk is carved and seems to be ,very strong .The parrot can ” speak” a few words . It is really and imitation of few words from what it hears .People sometimes keep parrot as pets. It is done even in other countries .People keep parrot in cages .This is not hinder the feedome of animals and birds .If we forget to feed them they will die .Therefore as childern we must learn to let birds and animals line i their nutural surrroundind.
